ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!

I took our diesel truck here directly from an “AC Specialty Mechanic” that claimed I needed a fan clutch replacement BEFORE the AC issues could get diagnosed. Bobby (owner) answered the phone and immediately started diving into the debacle. He not only listened to my concerns, but wanted to go backwards, into the history of the problem, to get as many details as he could. He said he didn’t want to replace the fan clutch until he had verification that it was malfunctioning and that he could diagnose the AC as well. There was no pressure to keep it there to fix the AC. He simply said he could let us know what the issue was, as a secondary opinion, and then we could take it back to the original AC specialist, if we preferred. He said it would take a couple of days before he could get to it (understandable) and gave me a reasonable diagnostic fee cost. When my truck was being diagnosed, Bobby said that the fan clutch functioned just fine. He said there was no reason to spend the additional cost if it was operating properly, which I appreciated. Diagnosing the AC was a bit of a longer process. Even though the signs pointed to an actuator door problem, which required dismantling the dash and a high cost in labor, he didn’t want to go that route just yet. He was upfront with the cost, if we had to get into the dash, at a worst case scenario, which I was super grateful for. Bobby and his team went over the AC system with a fine tooth comb. Multiple tests and scenarios were run at various temps/conditions, comparisons were made to other Dodge truck ACs, and there was nothing overlooked. He even made several calls back to me to discuss/question operating details to leave nothing unturned. Turns out it was an electrical problem that influenced the blower motor. The harness connector and blower motor were replaced, an adjustment was made on the door in between my AC/heat (accessible without pulling the dash) and my AC works AMAZING! We saved over $1000 in repairs! We were so pleased with his quality of work that we had an oil change, fuel filter change, and coolant issue diagnosed/repaired as well. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for stumbling upon this repair shop. From start to finish there was fluid conversation, honesty, and an overall sense of trust. Yes, there will be times that he has to call you back and can’t answer your phone call right away. Bobby is the owner, but he’s also out in the shop often or going to pick up parts or handling customers face-to-face, just like he did me.
